One amazing way to while-away a storm day

Here we are in the middle of yet another snow storm in this never ending NS winter. I have the day off so I’m finally taking a break to read the Home at Home Spring 2015 magazine (which is available free at all Home Hardware stores). It’s always full of not only a variety of great products that they sell for the home and yard, but also amazing ideas for DIY projects (such as the Sweet Surrender outdoor conversation table). There are articles on being more energy efficient, gardening, cleaning, pet care, and even recipes.  Of course my favourite sections are those on painting, lighting, and decorating.

Did you know that Beauti-Tone has a paint palette designed especially for those that are selling their homes?  It’s a gorgeous neutral palette of 18 colours which will “make your home feel more spacious and harmonious, therefore increasing its saleability.” Wouldn’t the pictures on their ad entice you to want to view these homes?

And to top it all off, there was an article on Osoyoos, a small town in the southern part of the Okanagan Valley of BC, that my husband and I toured through a few years ago and absolutely fell in love with.  It’s in Canada’s only desert, surrounded by lakes, mountains, vineyards, and orchards and has lots to see and do.  I can’t wait to get back again some day.

So get out to your nearest Home Hardware (when the weather is better) and pick up your copy to browse through or go to http://homehardware.ca/en/index/home-at-home.htm.  You won’t be disappointed.

now I want to drop in and get a magazine. My storm day was taking down an upper cabinet and range hood. It really opened up my dark galley kitchen.

Yes, Janice, it’s just a simple little flyer that always manages to bring me so much pleasure. Seeing all the spring and summer products and articles helped to take my mind off the storm for the time being as well. I highly recommend it. : )

Glad your day was productive and that it brought the desired results. Happy homemaking!!
